Listen to your needs

Being available to sit down and meet with people is a priority. Your ideas are important to me and I want to know what issues are affecting your community. I will include the development of advisory groups such as agriculture, industry/business, education (teachers), veterans and youth that will steer my decision-making and advocacy for District 34.

Advocate for our schools

As the only candidate that truly knows the needs of our public schools, I know that our children deserve a quality education, our teachers deserve a workplace where they are treated as professionals and our instructional assistants are valued and recognized for their hard work. Ray will also work on eliminating the PARCC test, increase teacher pay, increase pay for instructional assistants and re-visit the current teacher evaluation system.

Facilitate economic growth & development
Our communities and our young people deserve good paying secure jobs. I will work hard to develop jobs in the District by actively collaborating and engaging with the business community to determine their workforce needs and how to fulfill those needs with workers from District 34. I will also work to promote the Highway 28 wine corridor and I will work with farmers to meet their needs at the state level.

Improve our quality of life
Usable community centers and parks in the communities of District 34, expansion of water/sewer lines to more homes. Affordable access to internet, specifically wifi.

Roll out Infrastructure
Expansion of water/sewer lines to develop industrial/commercial opportunities for business. Facilitate solid workforce development programs with industry and K-12/higher education to promote an educated and stable workforce.
